Poppy Seed

The Poppy is an annual plant native to the Mediterranean basin, now cultivated throughout the northern hemisphere.
Its small seeds have a close hazelnut flavor with a sugary note, being very decorative.

Suggestions: Raw or grilled are often used in cakes, muffins, breads and desserts, vegetables and salads. Ground is a widely used ingredient in fillings for pastries and also in sauces. In Indian cuisine they are very common in vegetable recipes, rice or potatoes.
