Nutmeg is the seed of a tree native to the Moluccas. It has a slightly spicy taste but simultaneously sweet.In a more subtle and gentle way it remembers the mixture of pepper with cinnamon.
Suggestions: use it for meat, fish or poultry, sauces, eggs, potato purees, soups and vegetable creams. It goes well with desserts, such as stewed fruit, cakes, biscuits and puddings. It can be a perfect association to cloves and cinnamon.
